Releasing others and yourself
Today’s Key Verse
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
A Short Word
Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to get sick. Forgiveness isn’t saying what they did was okay—it’s saying “I refuse to let it keep hurting me.” Jesus already paid for every wrong done to you, and He commands us to forgive so we can stay free.
Quick Forgiveness Prayer (pray this out loud right now)
Insert the person’s name where it says [name]:
“Father, I choose to forgive [name] for [what they did or said]. I release them and cancel every debt. I refuse to hold bitterness. Just as You have freely forgiven me, I forgive them now. Heal my heart and set me free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
One Simple Action Today
- If possible, bless that person today—say something kind, pray a blessing over them, or send a short message of peace (even if they never deserve it). That’s supernatural freedom in action.
